It is a night for hearing the people who lived the unthinkable and chose to begin again, and for seeing, firsthand, the work that makes those new beginnings possible.

Mia was only 21 when she went to a music festival and didn't come home. Shot at Nova and taken into Gaza, she was held by Hamas for 55 days. She was the first hostage they showed to the world, proof of life in their earliest video, her arm operated on by a veterinarian without medication or anesthetic. She survived. Now she tells her story for those who lived and those who were lost, carrying the words tattooed on her arm:

A heroic Restart graduate and medic, J. Hartman is a husband and father from Jaffa who rebuilt his life after a serious injury. A graduate of Restart's 8th Storytellers cohort, he shares how he faced down daily fears, found his strength, and rebooted his life.
